Hi everyone,
I'm designing an "Indian" restaurant menu.
Any good tips like:
Colors
Pictures
Layout??
Also, does anyone know a software that designs restuarant menus??
Thanx alot in advance
5starts to the best answer|||1. Go to the library and get out books on Indian culture, food, clothes and architecture that will influence your style & colours.
2. Depending on the level of quality you will need software like Photoshop for editing your images and Adobe indesign to layout your pages correctly.
3. You will require some skill at laying out pages with consistency, that includes knowing how to typeset, understanding correct typography so that your menu looks clear and appropriate for an indian restaurant. Knowledge of CMYK colours wil help.
4. You may need stock images in high resolution of food & places so that your document looks sharp, or if you have a scanner you might borrow some images (be aware of copyright)
5. Figure out what you will be printing your menu on, this is an important factor as it will determine your choices eg cardboard, gloss, bi folding menus, etc.
Hope this helps you and good luck!
this is info is from a freelance designer.|||"Dream home design" design homes, building ,etc in minutes|||U should give the menu the old greek mythology look or the roman mytholgy look with light colours like light blue with white or silver in the background of the menu.....it will look goood.........
