It is the only thing I am very very good at is baking a cooking, I live in a quaint little beaver cleaver like neighborhood. I was thinking (with the props) being a tent, complimentary coffee, tables, samples, sale and pre-order for cheesecakes/cakes (with samples on hand)...could I make a decent profit to help a tish-bit for my wedding..doing this for a few days? with signs over town.|||Yes of course you could! also, have word of mouth be your friend! do it one weekend, than again on another! and hey, if youre that great at it? maybe you should consider a small business fo yourself in the future, like dessert catering? Good luck, and congratulations on your talent!|||I think you could very well make a decent profit.

However, I would be tempted to rethink handing out 'complimentary' coffee. Some people might show up for the free coffee and baked good samples and then just leave.

You might be better off charging a *very* nominal amount for the coffee AND the samples--something extremely reasonable (to the point of being downright cheap). Generally speaking, when people are given a "really good deal" for which they have to pay a nominal amount, they are more likely to place a further order. (Oddly enough, when they are given something absolutely for "free," they tend to simply take advantage of the "handout" without placing any sort of order for more.)

I would certainly advertise all over town, but make it clear that the "fabulous" coffee is the "best buy" in town, as are the "luscious accompanying samples of sweets." Indicate below that they are welcome to place orders for their upcoming special events, stipulating that they can get *exceptionally* top quality goods for *exceptionally* reasonable prices.

Best of luck to you.
